About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Roadway Design Intern to support our transportation engineering team. This role is ideal for civil engineering students or recent graduates looking to gain hands‑on experience in highway geometry, roadway design standards, CADD production, and transportation engineering workflows.
You will work under the guidance of experienced roadway engineers and CAD designers, contributing to real‑world infrastructure projects
Job Description
Assist in preparing roadway plan sheets, profiles, cross-sections, and typical sections.
Support the development of horizontal and vertical geometry using design software.
Work on tasks such as quantity calculations, design reports, and cost estimations.
Help prepare traffic control plans, signing/marking layouts, and drainage-related documentation.
Produce design and drafting work using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or Civil 3D (depending on company tools).
Follow US state DOT and company-specific CADD standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering & Masters in Highway/ Transportation Engineering.
Basic understanding of roadway/transportation engineering concepts.
Familiarity with engineering drafting or CAD software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, or Civil 3D preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow instructions.
