About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and well‑connected Business Development Professional located in the United States to help expand our reach among Roadway Design Consulting Firms, A/E firms and infrastructure contractors who need cost‑effective engineering and CAD production support from India.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the U.S. civil engineering consulting ecosystem and can leverage their relationships and market familiarity to bring new business opportunities to our India-based delivery teams.
Job Description
Lead Generation & Outreach
Identify U.S.‑based roadway/civil design firms, contractors, and consultants that require offshore support.
Engage prospects through calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and industry events.
Clearly articulate the value, efficiency, and cost advantages of outsourcing work to India.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, capability presentations, proposal coordination, deal negotiation, and contract closure.
Develop and pitch outsourcing solutions that align with client needs, scope, standards, and budgets.
Maintain a healthy pipeline and deliver consistent revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management
Build and nurture strong relationships with project managers, design leads, and executives at A/E firms.
Act as the primary U.S.-based contact for new clients during onboarding and transition phases.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling additional services.
Coordination with India Operations
Work closely with India-based engineering teams to develop accurate estimates, schedules, and capability narratives.
Facilitate smooth communication, kickoff meetings, and quality reviews.
Support alignment on design standards (AASHTO, MUTCD, DOT-specific CADD) and delivery expectations.
Market Insights
Monitor U.S. transportation infrastructure trends, industry staffing challenges, and outsourcing demand patterns.
Provide actionable insights to leadership to refine service offerings and positioning.
Requirements
5–12+ years of experience in business development, client relations, or sales within the civil engineering, infrastructure, or A/E consulting industry.
Strong connections or familiarity with U.S. roadway design consultants, transportation firms, and contractors.
Prior experience promoting or coordinating offshore/outsourced engineering or CAD services is highly valuable.
Good understanding of roadway/civil workflows—design, drafting, modeling, plans production, and CADD standards.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working remotely and independently.
Compensation
This is a performance-based position compensated through a percentage of revenue generated from new business. Percentage structure will be defined during onboarding. Higher earning potential as accounts scale. No cap on commission earnings.
This structure is ideal for candidates who prefer flexibility and high‑reward incentives over fixed compensation.
